No one should have to face multiple sclerosis alone. MSSA is here to walk this journey with you.

Living with multiple sclerosis can sometimes feel uncertain and isolating. Multiple Sclerosis South Africa (MSSA) exists to ensure that no one has to navigate this journey alone.

By becoming a member of MSSA, you join a national community of people who understand the realities of living with MS. Our work focuses on providing reliable information, peer support, education, and advocacy to improve the lives of people affected by multiple sclerosis across South Africa.

Membership helps us maintain our national support network and continue providing guidance, awareness initiatives, and connections to others who share similar experiences.

What Membership Offers

As a member of MSSA, you will have access to:

  • Our Facebook Private Support Community
  • Information and guidance on living well with MS
  • Updates on treatments, research, and MS education
  • Opportunities to participate in MSSA awareness and advocacy initiatives

Membership Fees

As a registered Non-Profit Organisation, MSSA reports to the Department of Social Development (DSD) and is legally required to maintain a record of active members and submit annual financial statements.

For this reason, the registration and membership fees form part of our organisational compliance requirements.

MSSA Membership Fees

Registration & Administration Fee
A once-off R300 registration and administration fee is payable when joining MSSA.

Annual Membership Subscription
This is followed by an annual membership subscription of R300 per year.

If monthly payments are more convenient, you may pay R50 per month via EFT instead.

Payment of membership fees ensures both the member and MSSA remain compliant with the reporting requirements of the Department of Social Development. Non-payment of membership fees may result in non-compliance of both the organisation and the member.
